The World Robot Contest, organized by the Chinese Institute of Electronics, consists of WRCT, WRCC and WRCF. The contest has been successfully held for 9 sessions since 2015, attracting nearly 300,000 contestants from more than 20 countries around the world. Widely praised as the "Olympics" in the robot field, it has been continuously guided by the National Natural Science Foundation of China since 2019, and has been shortlisted in the list of national competition activities for primary and secondary school students announced by the General Office of the Ministry of Education since 2020, and has achieved international mutual recognition of the competition results of multiple competition projects. Through years of accumulation and growth, the competition has developed into an official professional event in the field of robotics with wide influence at home and abroad, aiming to continuously exert its platform advantages, stimulate the scientific and technological research and development potential of the robot industry, and become an important force to promote the cultivation of innovative, application-oriented and skilled talents in the world.
